Then visit the "First Steps" page to gather data to fill in the worksheet. Along the way, you will learn everything you need to know to specify a liquid crystal display, plus discover a significant amount of other information which will be valuable in your design efforts.

If  you are not necessarily designing a custom display, the "First Steps", "Technical Q & A" , "App Notes"  and "Links" pages are a good source of LCD technical reference materials.
